Teacher's day cards and chart

Recently Teacher's day went and I made few cards and bookmarks for my kidos' teachers. It was in hurry so couldn't make them with so much details. Generally, I take a little longer time for my craft. In other words I can say I will be putting efforts till last minute! How about you? Are you a fast crafter or like me?

Coincidentally my younger son who is in Mont. was learning letter 'T" that week. and he found it so easy to connect. He now knows one more word with "T" other than tiger and turtle! Such a big thing for him!!:)

This card was literally made in 5 mins for elder one's computer mam as he found out that we din't make anything for computer mam!!!

Some bookmarks....

This is a half chart I made for "save water". I love to draw these figures rather than to cut and paste them from other chart:)

paper-cut card

Hi friends...so much to share! First of all my sock puppet is selected among the finalists for the Itsy-Bitsy challenge blog.:) yey...happy happy!

I made this hand cut card for a special friend. I had this x acto knife and haven't used it for once. and final got the time to used it. I hand drawn the freehand design first and then cut it. After long time I did some challenging craft. The challenge was where to cut and where to not. It's so much fun and you have to be very alert while cutting small gaps like leaves and all the joints to the letters.

I love it so much and even my friend liked it!

Sock puppet

A big hello to readers, These days I only craft for my kid's school project as I hardly get time to do anything else! and recently for my son's story telling competition I had to make a prop. I wanted to make it using something else than paper just to try out something new. and finally ended up making puppets from sock. He had to tell a folk story from Ukraine in which a stork and a wolf were the main characters. So, after thinking and searching a lot on internet I was able to make these puppets which he and his teachers liked a lot!:)

The felt used is handcut and stitched to make different parts are from Itsy bitsy. and rest of the things from my stash. Hope you like it!

A rainbow coloured card.

Hello crafters, A quick post to share a quick card. I started making it long back and it was lying unfinished. Suddenly yesterday was the day I finished it as I was feeling so low and want to boost up myself. and it really worked:)

Perfect card to come out of this gloomy weather. what do you say?

Quilled nameplate

Hello beautiful ladies,
Hope you are fine and enjoying first spells of monsoon rain in India! In Bangalore it started long back. Today I am sharing a nameplate I made with quilling. wanted to make it for so long but just not happening. So, when I went to workshop by Pritesh, I took that opportunity and started it off. First I quilled the letters and after thinking so much on what to do in background decided on having Ganesh. And so happy it turned out nice!

My SLR is damaged:( And the repairing charge is as much as buying a new one. so this is the best I could take from my point and shoot! Hope you like it!

Those punched panels look so elegant. I used both the punches for first time! The center image is recycled from an old greeting card. I added some 3D glitter to it.

Bargello design

Recently I saw couple of projects with this technique and found it interesting. And it was so much fun trying it! and doing this I also got chance to play with my new PPs:) I followed this tutorial.

Love this size(4*6) of cards these days. very handy and just enough space to put everything together!
The papers are from s.e.i desert spring set. This card has also turned out masculine. at least I think so!

I have got some stuff:)

Hello peeps, It's been a long while since I have posted on blog. It's not that I am not active. I regularly check out your work. sometimes leaving comments and sometimes not!:) Recently my husband went to US and so, as you must have already guessed I have got so many craft supplies from there. lots of papers, score-pal, trimmer, punches.....etc. hands are now itching trying everything. but time doesn't permit to do so.

But, today I pulled little time out and tried to do some experiments with distress ink. I saw this video tute and tried the first technique....got this result.

All comments are welcome to make it better. I don't have a blending tool. Do we have any other alternative for that?

Thanks for stopping by,
Cheers,
Avni.
