Being a mother...
Motherhood is a challenging profession which immediately comes after baby's birth. You don't need to have any degree or certificate for it, it just comes from within you. It requires lots of patience and hard work and needless to say lots of emotions are attached to that. I feel a girl starts appreciating her mother after she becomes one. Especially me, I always remember her when there is so much to be done for kids, home and family and the inside me always wants to pull out my own "Me Time". and that makes me wonder how much she has sacrificed her "Me Time". But, she never regrets. In fact she is happy that her kids have not wasted her sacrifice! Well, that's a Motherhood...
Can you believe, this is my first card to my mom!:O Somehow it never happened. So, this year I had decided to send her one. and here it goes.
Friend of mine wanted to learn quilling from me to make Diwali card. I love the embossed paper which was a wedding card.
I hope everybody is busy in Diwali preparation.
Have a Happy Diwali and a Prosperous new year to all my friends!
Cheers.

For long I wanted to use this handmade paper I got it from Pondicherry last year. but never thought it will be used to give result like this!:)

It's 25th Birthday!!!
Oh, not mine! It's my sis:) I wish I can turn the clock back and again turn silver. But, I should confess that being in 30's is also quite exciting, where you have finished your family, an enormous confidence and energy runs throughout your body and soul. I am enjoying my 30's. And I read somewhere.....you look your best in your early 30's(blush*)! lol
Here, I want to share a card I made for my sister. I wanted to make a banner card for so long, finally I made it. Got a fun photo of hers and added some stickers to finish the card. These days we receive lots of annual reports from company's whose shares we hold. They come with nice front cover. The party cap I made from one of those. Husband is happy that I am using reports in some ways b'coz he never reads them;) I'll be making a card using it as PP soon!
Hope you have fun filled weekend!

Being in Bengaluru
Lately the need to learn Kannada (local language in Bangalore) was really getting strong. We as north Indian always feel that oh, it's very hard. and morever, ppl speak hindi unlike Tamilnadu & Kerala. But, many times in Govt office, RTO or dealing with working class people it is always good to speak in Kannada. And meanwhile I read about Mr. Nagabhushan who gives free Kannada classes. He is doing wonderful job at the age of 73. The classes were held at his house in Indiranagar thrice a week for a month. And at the end of the month he makes sure that every student is speaking Kannada if not fluent then broken:)
I was absolutely blank about Kannada, but after the class I atleast manage to understand quite well and can speak few sentences. So, it's now my turn to give back something to him. and what else it could be than a card!
I made mini book with almost 10 pages and wrote alphabets, and the sentiments says "Dhanyavad" in Kannada.

It's a rainy day!
The weather outside is so chill. I feel like slipping in a comforter for hours and do nothing. Instead I chose to make a pending card in a corner of my house! Not a bad idea huh?!
here is my card...
I know the pic is dark b'coz of bad light. The scene ouside is something like this.
And it has started pouring already! Though it won't last much. It's a Bangaluru rain!
Cheers!
